The goal of "Fruit Salad" is to energize the group and foster quick thinking and movement through a fun and active game.
"Fruit Salad" is a lively game where participants move around a designated area while responding to fruit-related commands. When a specific fruit is called out, participants must quickly find a new spot, ensuring that no two participants end up in the same chair or marked spot. The game continues with different fruit commands until everyone is energized and engaged.
Arrange chairs or mark spots in a circle or designated area, with enough chairs or spots for each participant except one.
Have all participants stand around the chairs or marked spots.
Explain the rules of the game: participants will move around the designated area freely until a fruit name is called out.
Assign each participant a different fruit name (e.g., apple, banana, orange, etc.).
All participants assigned the called fruit must quickly find a new chair or marked spot, ensuring that no two participants end up in the same chair or spot.
The participant left without a spot becomes the new caller and calls out the next fruit name to continue the game.
Repeat the process with different fruit names at random intervals.
To add excitement, the participant in the middle can occasionally call out "fruit salad!" at which point all participants must find a new chair or spot, regardless of their assigned fruit.
Continue playing until everyone is energized and engaged.
• Make sure the playing area is free from obstacles and hazards to prevent any accidents during the game.
• Ensure that all participants have an opportunity to be in the middle and call out categories.
• If the group is large, consider playing in a spacious area where everyone has enough room to move around without bumping into each other.
