Goal:

The goal of “Pizza massage" is to reduce tension and foster a sense of playfulness and teamwork among participants through a light-hearted and engaging tactile activity.

Description:

"Pizza massage" is a creative and interactive game where participants get to 'make a pizza' on each other's backs through gentle pats and strokes. This activity serves as a light physical interaction to loosen up the group and create smiles, making everyone feel more comfortable and connected.

Instruction
Step 1:

Have participants stand in a single circle, each person facing the back of another.

Step 2:

Explain that they will be making an imaginary pizza on the back of the person in front of them, adding various ingredients which involve different types of gentle touches.

Step 3:

Guide them through the pizza-making process:

• Spread the dough: Participants start by gently smoothing their hands over their partner’s back to 'spread the dough'.

• Add the sauce: They continue with softer, circular motions with their palms to 'spread the sauce'.

• Sprinkle the cheese: Lightly pat the back to 'sprinkle cheese' across the dough.

• Place toppings: Use fingertips to 'place toppings' like olives or peppers, which can involve gentle poking or tapping.

• Bake the pizza: Finish by lightly tracing the palms down the back to 'bake the pizza' in the oven, providing a soothing finish.

Step 4:

Once the pizza-making is completed, instruct participants to carefully rotate to the right, so each person is now standing in front of a new back. Repeat the pizza-making process with the new partner.

Step 5:

Continue the rotation until each participant has made and received a 'back pizza' from each person in the circle or as time allows.

Additional tips:

• Remind participants to keep their touch light and ensure that everyone is comfortable with the level of physical interaction.

• For participants who may not be comfortable with touch, suggest an alternative way to participate, such as using verbal descriptions of each step or using a cloth to simulate the pizza-making process.

• Keep an eye on the group to ensure all interactions remain positive and enjoyable.
