Goal:

The goal of “Rock, Paper, Scissors” is to energize participants and build team spirit through a playful and physically engaging activity.

Description:

This method is a dynamic version of the traditional game, designed to get everyone moving and interacting. Participants compete in the classic Rock, Paper, Scissors game, but with a unique twist—when a player loses, they join behind the winner, forming a "train". This continues until only one large train remains, or for the duration of the activity, fostering teamwork and collective excitement.

Instruction
Step 1:

Explain the rules of Rock, Paper, Scissors to ensure all participants are familiar with how to play the game (Rock crushes Scissors, Scissors cuts Paper, and Paper covers Rock).

Step 2:

Have everyone spread out in the space and begin the activity by finding a partner and playing a single round of Rock, Paper, Scissors.

Step 3:

The loser of each pair joins the back of the winner's train, placing their hands on the shoulders of the person in front. The winner of the pair then leads their growing train to find another winning pair to challenge.

Step 4:

Winning trains challenge each other in subsequent rounds. The front person of each train competes in Rock, Paper, Scissors, while everyone in the train cheers them on. The losing train joins the back of the winning train, making it longer.

Step 5:

Continue the rounds until one train incorporates everyone or until the facilitator decides to end the game after a set time, ensuring everyone has had plenty of activity and fun.

Step 6:

Conclude with a cheer and a quick debrief to discuss the experience and the energy levels.

Additional tips:

• Encourage fair play and a positive spirit throughout the game to maintain a fun and inclusive atmosphere

• Monitor the activity to ensure that it remains safe and enjoyable for everyone, especially as trains get longer and more people are moving around

• Consider playing energetic music in the background to enhance the excitement and keep the energy high

• Be mindful of the space available, and adapt the size of the play area as needed to accommodate the movement of larger groups
